Meet the owners

Every great pub has a story – ours has many. As the newest owners of the Bridport Bay Inn, we’re honoured to become part of the stories, laughter, and memories this place has held for so long.

In June 2025, our lives changed completely. We left the bustling Gold Coast behind, sold our home, all that we owned, and made the journey to Tasmania to take on a place we could truly call our own. Driving into beautiful Bridport with its stunning beaches, old pier, and, our personal favourite, no traffic lights! – we knew this was the start of something really special.

Why take such a huge step? For us, it’s about more than running a pub. It’s about community, lifestyle, and creating a space where locals and visitors alike can feel at home. Bridport’s relaxed pace, fresh air, and the genuine warmth of its people were exactly what we had been looking for.

Since arriving, our vision has been simple: breathe new life into a much-loved local while keeping its heart and soul intact. With fresh ideas, a friendly approach, and a love for the traditions and people of Bridport, we hope to honour everything that makes this town so special, while adding our own small touches. Whether you’re staying in the motel, having a drink in the bar, stocking up in the bottle shop, or dining in the bistro, we want every visit to feel memorable.

Our days are still full-on, getting to know the business, the people, and the processes. But a few months in, we’ve even managed to find a little time to rest before the big summer rush!
